Job Description: 

The Construction Project Manager at GCPRO is responsible for managing and overseeing all assigned construction projects from inception to completion. This includes customer service, vendor selection, materials procurement, scheduling, budgeting, financial reporting, safety compliance, and quality control. The Construction Project Manager will also be on an On-Call Team, with occasional night and weekend work requirements.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Field Management:

  • Build rapport with project stakeholders and instill confidence in your project management abilities.
  • Perform all contracted scopes per best practices.
  • Ensure all work is properly contracted/subcontracted.
  • Obtain building permits as required and follow all government guidelines for each permit and project.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with change orders as needed.
  • Manage site personnel and subcontractors. Drive safety, quality, and productivity in the field.
  • Perform buyout, submittal process, quality control, safety compliance, scheduling, and closeout successfully.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer communication and customer service.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Ensure project work meets the highest standards of workmanship based on industry standards.
  • All other duties or projects as assigned.

Office Management:

  • Ensure all subcontractors are working under a proper subcontract agreement, per best practices.
  • Approve or reject invoices as appropriate, with proper communication with your project team.
  • Properly project, record, and maintain all project costs on budget worksheets.
  • Provide daily and/or weekly reporting to the project team and customer, including pictures.
  • Meet or improve upon revenue and profit margin goals.
  • Create, update, and present project schedules to customers and the VP weekly.
  • Direct, mentor, and train junior-level team members.
  • Professionally represent GCPRO on emergency on-call management rotation.
  • Track change orders and all extras on projects via signed change order forms and budget updates.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Required: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in construction or insurance restoration.
  • Required: Expertise in construction project management, financials, processes, and administration.
  • Required: Strong business ethics, integrity, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Required: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Required: Strong computer and technology skills.
  • Required: Ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders and local officials.
  • Required: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Required: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Required: In possession of your own list of subcontractors that you currently work with.
  • Required: Proficiency in Xactimate estimating platform.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Preferred: OSHA 10 or 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience in multi-family, hotel, and multi-building facility construction.
  • Preferred: Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Preferred: Proficiency with Symbility estimating platform.
  • Preferred: Proficiency with other project management software and tools.

Travel:

  • Minimal travel expected.

Work Environment and Physical Job Demands:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Compensation:

This position offers a competitive base salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including an auto allowance, fuel card, expense account, company laptop, cell phone, and company apparel. Our benefits package includes health insurance plans (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan with a guaranteed match, 12 paid holidays, and 3 weeks of PTO. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual, uncapped performance-based commission.

GCPRO Restoration is a leading full-service restoration contractor in the Chicagoland market, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Client Services Specialist. This role is crucial in ensuring excellent customer service, efficient communication, and effective lead conversion. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction or restoration, strong communication skills, and a go-getter attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Communication:

  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails professionally.
  • Greet clients and visitors, ensuring they receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Handle client inquiries, providing accurate information and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Conduct client care calls to maintain open communication and ensure constant updates.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

Lead Conversion:

  • Respond promptly to online inquiries and leads generated from Google, Yelp, and other advertising platforms.
  • Engage with potential clients, assess their needs, and provide relevant information about our services.
  • Convert leads into appointments and scheduled jobs by effectively communicating our value proposition.
  • Maintain and update lead tracking systems, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Build and maintain sales funnels to maximize conversion rate.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Associate to increase lead volume, online booking volume, and conversion rate.
  • Take sales calls and convert these calls to scheduled cleaning service.
  • Improve constantly to reach weekly sales goals.
  • Follow up with clients after the first service to convert one-time clients into repeat clients

Administrative Support:

  • Open new leads/jobs in the company system (DASH) during initial calls and enter all available information.
  • Assess situations to begin communication with the appropriate department.
  • Provide a “warm” handoff to Project Managers for scheduling meetings.
  • Print all necessary documents for field files from DASH (e.g., water package).
  • Ensure inspection meetings are on the calendar.
  • Assist PM with dispatching crews as required.
  • Ensure crew-dispatched tasks are on the DASH calendar.
  • Ensure dates, notes, photos, and documents are in DASH (from both PM and crew visits).
  • Follow up to get any additional homeowner and insurance/mortgage information not obtained on initial call.
  • Monitor and update jobs in DASH, ensuring the job flows efficiently through the company process.
  • Assist PM with the scheduling of crews/workers and coordinate with homeowners.
  • Keep the construction calendar up to date and uploaded in DASH.
  • Monitor and review with EMS about possible construction and/or contents phase.
  • If not a “dry in place” job and construction and/or contents are required, open the linked job(s) in DASH.
  • Assign Project Managers based on specified criteria and management assistance.

Coordination & Compliance:

  • Follow through on any new claim intake to ensure all meetings, dates, notes, and documentation are done.
  • Ensure constant, often daily, communication with the customer.
  • Verify that scheduled employees and subcontractors match the customers’ availability.
  • Call with any schedule changes.
  • Ensure selections are made, ordered, and installed as required.
  • Answer inquiries and follow up after each day’s work to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure notes in both jobs and to the contact in the contact manager as required.
  • Monitor program and company compliance.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and dispatch to the appropriate party.
  • Schedule carpet cleans.
  • Manage the AR process: 20-day letters, 25-day phone calls, and following up on checks.
  • Deductible chasing.
  • Handle discussions with adjusters and agents for various reasons, such as estimate approval issues and general questions. Competencies:Analytical

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, proactive approach, and strong work ethic.
  • Strong desire to excel in an inside sales/customer service environment and meet weekly sales goals.

  • Identify and document scope of work, measure and sketch out all impacted areas, take scope notes for estimators
  • Extract water from flooded structures, take and document moisture readings
  • Setup commercial drying equipment
  • Perform demolition including removing damaged or wet building materials such as carpet, pad, baseboard, cabinets, drywall, etc.
  • Perform mold remediation
  • Perform fire/smoke damage remediation
  • Maintain and clean professional equipment as needed

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Own the full lifecycle of order fulfillment: order review and processing, pulling materials, packing boxes, placing completed orders in staging areas, and replenishment
  • Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and updating the inventory levels in the computer
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies. Work closely with inventory group to monitor supply levels and submit purchasing recommendations as appropriate
  • Conduct Cycle Count inventory processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution
  • Keep the warehouse space organized per company specifications
  • Perform other general maintenance and repairs of company equipment as required
  • Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew
